Cantinaccia of Palazzo Alidosi

This below-ground area of Palazzo Alidosi has an eastern entrance. It acted as the palace storage facility and included two prisons, one for men and one for women, which remained in use until the late 18 th century.

Now beautifully restored, the Cantinaccia connects to the Cortiletto delle Fontane and is a promotional headquarters for the produce of the Alta Valle del Santerno (Upper Santerno Valley), most notably the PGI-certified chestnut and its derivatives.
