A circular hike along the Santerno river terraces and the Marnoso-Arenacea Formation will lead you to the Sanctuary of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin of Riviera. Continuing through fields and orchards to the Casalino cemetery, after crossing the Montanara road, you will reach the Monumental Yew of Borgo Tossignano, or Yew of Riviera, a stunning centuries-old tree almost three meters wide. Return to the Riviera restaurant parking lot, where an aperitif will be served. Easy route; Hiking shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended.
