Monte Calderaro from base camp to the front line - Walks along the paths of the Italian Resistance

Starting from Villaggio della Salute, we will follow a section of the “Boston By Way,” the route used by the American army to transport troops and supplies from their base camp in the Sillaro Valley to the front line, which had stalled near Monte Calderaro. Along the way, we will visit the still-visible trenches and explore the history of the final months of the Second World War, when the Gothic Line was breached but the Allied advance remained halted in this area for six long months.
