Monte Calderaro from base camp to the front line - Trekking along the paths of the Resistance

Starting from Villaggio della Salute, we will walk along a section of the ‘Boston by way’, the path that the American army used to transport troops and supplies from their base camp in the Sillaro valley to the front line, which had come to a halt near Monte Calderaro. We will visit the trenches, which are still clearly visible, and recount the history of the final months of the Second World War, when the Gothic Line was breached but the Allied advance came to a halt in this area for six long months.
