The third edition, from 1 to 24 May, offers nine afternoon events spread over the weekends, touching Modigliana, Faenza, Forlì and Ravenna at Torraccia, but also Fontanelice, Cotignola, Santa Sofia, Bertinoro and the Ca' Carnè refuge in the hills of Brisighella.
The formula remains the same as the original: natural spaces, no large stages, minimal lighting and a musical programme that combines songwriting, folk tradition and research. Even the ticket price, €5, confirms the spirit of the initiative organised with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region, in collaboration with the ATER Foundation, the Provinces of Ravenna and Forlì-Cesena and the municipalities involved.
The first event is on Friday 1 May in Fontanelice, at the Torre di Fornione, a medieval structure that still bears witness to the presence of the Alidosi family, lords of Castel del Rio. In this area of the Bolognese Apennines, where Etruscan and Roman traces have been found, Davide Ambrogio, a Calabrian multi-instrumentalist who in recent years has built an original career based on the oral tradition of his homeland, will perform. His work combines archaic singing, acoustic instruments and a contemporary sensibility. his recent album Mater Nullius reflects on the relationship between man and nature, a theme that finds natural resonance in the setting of the festival. The afternoon will be opened by Laura Agnusdei, a saxophonist who moves between improvisation, jazz and electronica.
