Ten concerts for residents of the Metropolitan City of Bologna
Perhaps not everyone knows that for no less than 21 years there has been a Pullman service that, leaving from seven different terminuses (Bazzano, Pieve di Cento, Medicina, San Pietro in Casale, Marzabotto, Imola and Modena), gathers from more than thirty municipalities in the area hundreds of classical music lovers, loyal subscribers of Invito alla Musica-the subscription formula reserved by Musica Insieme for residents of the Metropolitan City-taking them free of charge from their homes to the Auditorium Manzoni Theater in Bologna and back.
One of the most prestigious seasons of chamber music in our country awaits them at the theater, with a ten-date program featuring some of the world's greatest performers, including this year pianists Grigory Sokolov and Beatrice Rana, mandolinist Avi Avital, percussionist Evelyn Glennie along with some ensembles that have made music history such as the Cremona Quartet and The Brodsky Quartet, joined by those very young talents already projected toward great international careers such as the Chagall Trio or Arsenii Moon, a new piano star and winner of the “Ferruccio Busoni” international competition.
An important opportunity to socialize with other subscribers already at the bus stop, then sharing the beauty and excitement of the live concert, to comment together on the evening along the return journey.
This is an extraordinary service because of its uniqueness in Italy, which truly allows everyone to access Musica Insieme's cultural offerings without the thought of having to face long winter journeys in fog or having to park the car far from the theater and then return home facing a late hour journey. In addition to this, the use of seven coaches instead of dozens of cars also has an important impact on environmental sustainability, given the significant reduction in emissions.
The Invitation to Music subscription provides 10 concerts between October 2024 and May 2025 at a subsidized price including transportation.
