Leonardo is a young artist with autism who lives in Castel San Pietro Terme with his family. He confidently and quickly sketches marks and shapes on canvas, as if he wants to capture the ideas that flow rapidly through his mind. Each work stems from an urgent need to express himself and is shared with those around him: Leonardo recounts, describes and interprets his works through music, another fundamental element of his creative process.
The exhibition is an opportunity to recount ten years of artistic development: the journey of a young adult with autism who wants to make art his profession and who, with commitment and perseverance, is building his future day by day. For Leonardo, painting is a vital necessity: he never parts with his sketchbooks, which accompany him everywhere, even when out for pizza with friends. His creative world is always with him, like a protection and a bridge to encounters with others.
